Terms of Service – NorthTints.us

Last revised: September 17, 2026

Welcome to NorthTints.us (“NorthTints.us,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service govern use of this website and purchases of custom-cut paint protection film (PPF), window tint, installation support, and related products. Please review these Terms together with our Return Policy, Shipping Policy, Dispute & Chargeback Policy, Privacy Policy, FAQ, and Read Before You Buy page before ordering.

Have an order concern? Contact us first through our Contact Us page or at [email protected]. Materials can be damaged in transit and order problems can occur. We want a reasonable opportunity to review the facts and provide an appropriate resolution.

1. Acceptance and Checkout Acknowledgment

By accessing the website or placing an order, you agree to the terms and policies presented or linked at checkout. You represent that you are legally able to enter into a contract and are authorized to use the payment method submitted. Nothing in these policies limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. Electronic Signature

When a signature is requested at checkout, drawing or typing your signature and submitting the order expresses your intent to sign electronically for that order. By signing and submitting, you confirm that you reviewed your contact, billing, shipping, vehicle, material, coverage, quantity, and other selections and that you read and agree to these Terms, the Return Policy, Shipping Policy, Dispute & Chargeback Policy, and applicable FAQ or Read Before You Buy information presented or linked at checkout. You acknowledge the Privacy Policy describing how order and signature information is handled.

The signature documents the acknowledgment made with the order. It does not by itself prove correct delivery, waive a valid claim, or determine the result of a bank or payment-provider dispute. We may retain the signature with the associated order and relevant acceptance records and provide appropriate records to a payment processor, bank, card network, carrier, insurer, or other service provider when administering the order or responding to a claim, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may request an available copy of your signed order record.

3. Product and Vehicle Information

Confirm the vehicle year, make, model, trim, body style, sensors, washers, tow-hook openings, selected coverage, film brand, quantity, and delivery address before placing an order. Product photos and diagrams may be representative. The written product description and selected options identify what is included. Contact us before purchasing if you are uncertain about fitment or coverage.

We may request vehicle photographs or other reasonable confirmation before cutting. Processing time may begin after required information is received. If the customer does not provide information reasonably needed to complete an order, we may place the order on hold and contact the customer about next steps.

4. Custom Products and Final Sales

Custom-cut PPF, window tint kits, and made-to-order products are prepared according to customer selections. Once production begins, they are final sale for change-of-mind returns or exchanges. This does not exclude review or an appropriate remedy for transit damage, a manufacturing defect, an incorrect item, non-delivery, or goods materially different from the order description, or any remedy required by law.

5. Changes and Cancellations

Contact us immediately if an order contains an error. We will check its status, but changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed after cutting, preparation, or shipment begins. Any permitted cancellation charge or discretionary restocking fee must be disclosed before the exception is completed and will not reduce a refund that the customer is legally entitled to receive. This provision does not restrict cancellation or refund rights required by applicable law for delayed or unfulfilled orders.

6. Processing, Shipping, and Delivery

Processing time and carrier transit time are separate. Tracking may be issued when a label is created, before the carrier scans the package. Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Customers must provide a deliverable address and monitor tracking and signature requirements. See the Shipping Policy for current processing estimates, carrier practices, insurance information, and claim procedures.

7. Damage, Missing Orders, Defects, and Incorrect Goods

Inspect the package and material promptly. Report visible transit damage as soon as reasonably possible and concealed damage or defects promptly after discovery. A delayed report does not automatically eliminate rights available under applicable law or payment-provider rules.

Provide the order number, a clear description, and relevant photographs of the material, shipping tube or box, label, and visible damage where available. Keep the product and packaging while the concern is reviewed. Where practical, do not install, cut, discard, or otherwise alter affected material before contacting us. If photographs are unavailable or inconclusive, contact us to discuss another reasonable assessment method.

For a missing or delivery-disputed package, we will review the address, tracking, carrier information, and other available evidence. A tracking scan is relevant but does not automatically resolve every non-delivery claim. Shipping insurance and carrier review do not remove remedies required by law.

8. Returns, Replacements, and Refunds

Contact us before returning anything so we can provide the correct address and instructions. We review concerns in good faith using the order details and available evidence. An appropriate resolution may include troubleshooting, replacement material, an authorized return, or a refund. Approved refunds are normally issued to the original payment method; posting time depends on the payment provider.

Damage caused by improper installation, handling, preparation, or misuse is not a manufacturing defect. An installation error does not automatically defeat a separate claim involving an unrelated defect, incorrect item, or material misdescription. Unless agreed in writing or required by law, we do not reimburse third-party labor, removal, reinstallation, or damage caused by an installer selected by the customer.

9. Contact-First Resolution and Chargebacks

For a problem involving a purchase you authorized, you agree to contact NorthTints.us first and give us a reasonable opportunity to review and resolve the issue before filing a payment dispute or chargeback, subject to applicable law and your bank’s or payment provider’s rules.

This contact-first process does not require you to delay reporting an unauthorized transaction, miss a dispute deadline, or waive any legal or payment-provider rights. Filing a dispute or contacting a bank before contacting us is not by itself proof of fraud. If the matter remains unresolved, you may use the dispute options available to you.

If a dispute is opened, we may submit relevant information such as the order and selected specifications, terms presented at purchase, signature and acceptance records, payment-verification information, tracking or delivery records, photographs, customer communications, and refunds, replacements, or other resolutions offered or completed. We will describe available evidence accurately; the bank or payment provider determines the outcome under its rules. If a refund and dispute credit overlap, the parties should notify the payment provider so duplicate reimbursement can be reconciled.

10. Installation and Product Warranties

PPF and tint installation require proper surface preparation, tools, mixtures, technique, and environmental conditions. DIY and third-party installation are the customer’s responsibility. Inspect material and fitment before installation and contact us before proceeding if a piece appears incorrect or defective.

Manufacturer warranty eligibility depends on the product and the manufacturer’s written terms. Purchasing a product does not guarantee eligibility for every advertised manufacturer warranty. We will review suspected defects and assist with applicable claims. A manufacturer’s decision does not replace obligations or remedies we owe under applicable law.

11. Pricing, Availability, and Order Verification

Prices and availability may change before an order is submitted. We may correct genuine errors, request reasonable payment or identity verification, limit quantities, or decline an order where there is a legitimate concern about unauthorized payment or misuse. If we cancel an order we cannot fulfill, we will refund the amount collected for the canceled item.

12. Privacy and Security

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, retained, and shared. Payment processors handle full payment credentials under their own terms. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or card security codes by email or contact form.

13. Website Use and Intellectual Property

Use the website only for lawful purposes. Website content, photographs, logos, product descriptions, and other protected materials belong to NorthTints.us or their respective owners or licensors. Purchasing a product does not transfer intellectual-property rights.

14. Limitations of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses or losses caused by misuse, improper installation, or an installer selected by the customer. To the extent legally permitted, our total liability for a product-related claim is limited to the amount paid for the affected product. These limitations do not exclude liability, warranties, consumer protections, or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Governing Law and Interpretation

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and the applicable state law, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where the customer resides. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. Related policies are read together. If wording conflicts about mandatory rights, those rights control.

16. Changes

We may revise these Terms prospectively by posting an updated version. The terms presented at the time of purchase govern that order unless a later change is required by law or accepted by both parties. A revision does not retroactively create consent or a signature for an earlier order.

17. Contact

For questions, order assistance, damage, returns, or payment concerns, use our Contact Us page or email [email protected]. Include your order number and a concise description so we can help efficiently.
