Dispute & Chargeback Policy – NorthTints.us

Last revised: September 17, 2026

We want to resolve order concerns fairly and promptly. Read this policy together with our Terms of Service, Return Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, FAQ, and Read Before You Buy page.

1. Contact Us Before an Order-Related Dispute

For a problem involving a purchase you authorized, you agree to contact NorthTints.us first and give us a reasonable opportunity to review and resolve the issue before filing a payment dispute or chargeback, subject to your rights under applicable law and your bank’s or payment provider’s rules.

Use our Contact Us page or email [email protected]. Include the order number, email used for the purchase, a clear explanation of the problem, relevant photographs or documents where available, and the resolution requested. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or card security codes.

2. Our Review

Materials can be damaged in transit, and delivery, fitment, product, or installation concerns may require review. We will examine the order details, selected specifications, customer explanation, and relevant records; request additional information where reasonably needed; and work in good faith toward an appropriate resolution. Please allow a reasonable opportunity for response and keep copies of communications.

3. Payment-Dispute Rights

The contact-first process does not require you to delay reporting an unauthorized transaction, miss a bank or payment-provider deadline, or waive any legal or payment-provider right. If the issue remains unresolved, you may use dispute options available through your bank or payment provider. Filing a dispute, or contacting a bank before contacting us, is not by itself proof of fraud.

We do not require withdrawal of a dispute as a condition of reviewing an order concern. When a dispute is already open, a refund or other resolution may need to be coordinated through the payment-provider process to prevent duplicate credits.

4. Records Used in a Dispute

If a dispute is opened, we may provide relevant information to the payment processor, acquiring bank, card issuer, card network, or other party administering the dispute, including:

  • Order details, product descriptions, vehicle and material selections, and the price charged.
  • Terms and policies presented or linked at purchase.
  • Electronic signature, checkout acknowledgment, date and time, and available IP or browser records.
  • Available payment-verification and transaction references.
  • Processing, shipment, tracking, delivery, and signature records.
  • Relevant photographs, customer communications, and support responses.
  • Refunds, returns, replacements, troubleshooting, or other resolutions offered or completed.

We will describe the available evidence accurately. The bank or payment provider determines the dispute outcome under its rules. Relevant personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Damage, Missing Orders, and Product Concerns

Inspect materials promptly. Contact us as soon as reasonably possible about visible transit damage and promptly after discovering concealed damage, defects, incorrect goods, or material misdescription. Retain the material, packaging, and shipping label and provide relevant photographs where available. If photos are unavailable, contact us to discuss a reasonable alternative.

A delayed report does not automatically eliminate legal or payment-provider rights. Shipping insurance, carrier tracking, or manufacturer review does not remove our legal obligations or extend dispute deadlines.

6. Custom Products and Valid Claims

Custom-cut products are final sale for change-of-mind returns once production begins. This does not exclude valid claims involving damaged, defective, incorrect, materially misdescribed, or undelivered goods, or remedies required by law. We review the circumstances and available evidence before determining an appropriate resolution.

7. Accurate Information and Duplicate Credits

Provide accurate information about the concern and any resolution already received. If a merchant refund and dispute credit overlap, notify us and the payment provider so the transaction can be reconciled without duplicate reimbursement.

8. Contact

Use our Contact Us page or email [email protected] with the order number and requested resolution.
